Browlift

Brow Contouring
Brow Contouring is a surgical procedure designed to address sagging or drooping eyebrows, smooth forehead wrinkles, lateral static temple lines, and restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance to the upper face. As we age, the skin and muscles in the forehead/brow/temple area lose elasticity, leading to the formation of deep wrinkles, horizontal lines, and a tired, angry appearance. A brow contouring procedure repositions the eyebrows to a more youthful height, tightens the forehead and temple skin, and reduces wrinkles, resulting in a smoother, more relaxed expression.

Brow Contouring Techniques
- Traditional Brow Lift (Coronal Brow Lift): In this technique, an incision is made across the top of the head, from ear to ear, within the hairline. The surgeon lifts the forehead and brow tissue, removes excess skin, and tightens the underlying muscles. This method provides dramatic results and is ideal for those with significant brow drooping or forehead wrinkles. The incision is hidden within the hairline, leaving minimal visible scarring.
- Endoscopic Lift: This minimally invasive technique involves small incisions made behind the hairline, through which an endoscope (a small camera) and specialized instruments are inserted. The surgeon uses the endoscope to lift and reposition the brow tissues, tighten the forehead skin, and smooth out wrinkles. This method is less invasive, requires smaller incisions, and offers a quicker recovery time compared to the traditional brow lift.
- Temporal Lift: A temporal lift focuses on the outer part of the eyebrows and static temple wrinkles, lifting the tail of the brow and tightening the temple wrinkles for a more refreshed and youthful look. The incisions are made within the hairline, close to the temples, and this technique is ideal for individuals with sagging at the outer brow and those seeking subtle brow elevation without affecting the entire forehead. This is often combined with other facial procedures for a more comprehensive rejuvenation.
- Direct Brow Lift: In some cases, the incision is made directly above the eyebrow. This approach is ideal for patients with minimal hair loss in the brow area or those with heavy, low-set brows. It allows for precise repositioning of the eyebrow and results in a more defined and youthful shape. This method may leave more visible scarring than other techniques but can be a good option for specific concerns.
- Browpexy: Browpexy is a surgical procedure designed to lift and tighten the eyebrows, typically used to treat sagging or drooping eyebrows that can occur due to aging or other factors. A browpexy is primarily a volumizing procedure than a lifting procedure. The procedure is often performed in conjunction with removing excess upper eyelid skin (upper blepharoplasty).
